Chapter 2: The decision of a Lifetime

Everyone was at the Cyber Cafe. Ethan was at a computer playing a video game. Kira was getting her guitar ready and Conner was trying to study for an assignment. Tommy slowly walked in and was sitting at the bar.

“What can I get you?” asked the red haired owner of the bar.

“Some water please.” Tommy replied out of breath.

“Sure thing.” The red hair left.

Kira looked and saw how low Tommy’s head was. She slowly walked over and sat next to him,

“Are you okay?”

Tommy was quiet then grabbed his glass of water and gulped it down.

“Doctor Oliver?” Kira asked.

“Y..yeah?” Tommy replied.

“You alright?”

“Sort of..”

“What’s wrong”

Tommy sighed and said,

“I just feel bad leaving it alone.”

Kira said,

“If you don’t want to be here it’s okay. I understand”

“But you’re performing soon. I can’t ditch you like that.”

“Doctor O. You have your ‘responsibility’ that you need to take care of”

“Thanks Kira.” Tommy nodded and finished his glass of water.

Tommy got up and walked out of the café. Ethan and Conner got up.

“Is there a reason Doctor Oliver left in a hurry like that?”

“He had something to take care of.” Kira replied.

~~~At the house of Doctor Oliver~~~

He walked into his lab and hurried and removed the blanket. He smiled and said,

“Sorry about that.”

The fetus moved again like it understood. Tommy smiled,

“I can’t wait to see you.”

Tommy gently placed his hand on the womb. He felt happy but with a mix of sadness.

“Maybe I need to talk with my friend about something.”

Tommy went to his computer and sat down and started to type. He stopped and looked at the fetus, he noticed something strange about it. He got up and walked over to it. He noticed that it had grown over a short period. A sound of a woman around his age appeared on the screen.

“Hello? Doctor Oliver? You called me?”

Tommy walked over to his seat and sat down,

“Yeah I’m here. Look is there any way you can come over to my house?

“Whatever for?” the woman asked.

Tommy was silent and looked again and replied,

“I will show you when you get here.”

The woman nodded and said,

“I will be there in an hour.”

“Okay see you then.” Tommy replied.

Tommy turned off the call and got up and looked at the womb again and said,

“I hope this works. I don’t want to be wrong.”

~An hour later~

The friend arrived and walked down into the lab. She looked at Tommy and said,
“This better be something good. My scientific reputation is at stake.”
Tommy nodded and smirked,

“Oh its good alright.”

Tommy led his friend over and revealed the fake womb. Her eyes grew wide and touched it,

“This is incredible…How…How did you do this?”

“With your research and also your notes. But there is something I have got to ask.”

“Sure what is it?” She replied still looking and saw the fetus.

“Is it possible that..you can implant the fetus into someone after its created?”

She looked at Tommy and asked,

“You mean?”

Tommy nodded and said,

“Yes.”

“Tommy why? You know that if I implanted it now your body will have to adjust for how old the fetus is.”

“I’m aware but…it’s just not the same..”

She walked over to Tommy and placed her hand on his shoulder.

“I know Tommy but I never done that part of the procedure on a human male before or anyone
for that matter?” the friend said.

“Why?” asked Tommy.

“Because the times I have tried this…The fetus never make it till the first two weeks…”

“Then I can make history for you… I will be the first person to carry it…”

“Are you sure about this? Once I do this you can never go back or change your mind”

“I’m sure about this. I’m dead sure.”

The friend nodded and smiled,

“Okay just give me about an hour or two to get everything prepped. I have to make sure I have everything for this to work with no errors.”

Tommy smiled softly and said,

“I can’t wait.
